Both Dr. McKenzie, and dental assistant were great. They were so efficient, so kind and dealt with my claustrophobia issues with the utmost professional respect and kindness. It was a difficult root canal, and I made it more difficult, but they persevered and got the job done for me. I am grateful I landed such a good pair, they could not have done anything better than they did!

I am very impressed with Dr. McKenzie and will likely send referrals to him if the conversation arises that a family member or friend would need a root canal. He was very patient, explained thoroughly the many processes it would take to complete the procedure. He reassured me that I would receive a follow-up call the next day, clearly pointed out the 24-hour care number if I had any needs. I did receive a message the next day, I was at work and didn't see it until I got home later that day. I am recovering well and expect a full recovery.

Extremely professional. Looks at you when he is talking ( that means a lot to me) . I felt really bad that I was going to lose my tooth, but he gave it to me straight about my options, and the financial cost and was honest so I could make a sensible decision. In my past, I have had dentist that seem to put money first and he certainly could have done that, but I was pleasantly surprised by his honesty and integrity. If I ever had to see a specialist again, hands down I would request Dr McKinley.

Waking up with a tooth ache on a Friday is no fun. I went to my normal clinic and they said I needed a root canal but they could not do it and wanted me to see Philip McKenzie. My clinic called The Dental Specialists and I was told to come right over. They took me in right away and explained everything that was going to happen. I always have high anxiety when I go to the Dentist, of course the numbing part is the worst. They were so gentle and quiet that I fell asleep In the chair. During my procedure it was VERY quiet, I would have like to hear the dentist and assistant talk more or the music be louder. The appointment would have seemed quicker with any kind of distraction!!

Dr. McKenzie and the dental assistant were a great team. The Dr. Thoroughly explained my options and the procedure. He kept me posted as he worked through the procedure and how much longer it would take. They both kept checking in with me to see how I was doing.

I was incredibly impressed with Dr. Mackenie and the time he spent with me discussing my treatment options. I felt as if he cared about me and wanted to make sure I understood completely my options. I could not say enough wonderful things about him. It was like he was my long time dentist and he clearly spent time looking at my health hirstory. I would recommend him without hesitation.

I was sent to Dr. McKenzie for a root canal. After his exam, it turns out I didn't need one at all! I was very thankful he did his own x-rays because it saved me hundreds of dollars. In addition I learned I must of had a sinus infection that cleared!

I think that the Doctor is very good and did a great job, however, what I felt was missing was communication. Not only was there was very little discussion between the dr and the tech other than tools and direction, but very little if any with me as a patient. I felt like just another tooth that the doctor was working on. It would be nice if he had talked through the process steps as he was doing them or letting me know what to expect next. It turns out i required a root canal through my crown and when in there they discovered a cavity. I only knew this after they were all done. He also hit a tooth nerve in the process and there was only a brief statement about the next shot and how quickly it would work to numb things again. - I know he sees so many people but a little more care and bedside manner would be very nice to see and improve how people view him. He is a very good specialist but a bit more effort to make the patient feel like more than a tooth would make him great. Note the tech and receptionist were great!

Procedure seemed fairly lengthy compared to similar procedures but maybe there were more canals involved. Maybe could have explained what was being done a little more as we were going through the process. Not trying to be critical - just helpful.
